Capacity+ believes strongly in helping non-profits build their internal proposal writing capacity by building a team within each organization. By working as teams, soliciting input from multiple individuals within the organization, and involving team members in the design, development and writing stages, organizations are able to build internal capacity, expand the skills of their employees, and create a large group of individuals knowledgeable about, and capable of, leading successful proposal writing efforts in the future.

· Third, carefully read, understand and respond to the funding opportunity’s stated requirements; understand how your organization fits with the funder's priorities and be prepared to address all components of request;
· Fourth, begin, continue, and end with the team as described above

When working with your organization to develop a proposal, Capacity+ works closely with your organization to talk through ideas, review plans, policies and
other available information. We take this time upfront to thoroughly understand your organization, its goals, strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. Capacity+ will conduct an organizational assessment early on. This allows us to gather information and understand your organization in relation to each of the required project elements. Using this assessment, Capacity+ will identify areas in need of further information, development or guidance. If Capacity+ is the proposal writer, we will schedule regular meetings (at least weekly) with key individuals to solicit information, ask questions, discuss ideas and share progress
